Group tutoring is considered the most effective type of tutoring available.  While students tend to prefer the one-on-one setting, group tutoring gives students the benefit of both tutors knowledge and the other students' questions and input. Group tutoring is intended to be a fun and exciting learning experience for students that need extra practice on the skills they learn during the school day.  While it can fill gaps in student understanding, it is most beneficial to students who are looking to perform above average or significantly improve an already acceptable performance in Math and Reading. It is best suited for students that are not failing but are experiencing some difficulty reaching their academic goals.  The setting includes the tutor and five or fewer students taking the same (or very similar subjects). Group tutoring is offered both virtually using the Zoom platform and face-to-face. This individualized form of instruction best serves students needing academic support in a particular subject area.  A greater portion of group tutoring is devoted to homework help.  Gauthier's Educational Services, LLC offers group tutoring once or twice per week.
